We at World Effect strive to deliver outstanding service to our customers. We hope you are satisfied with your purchase. In the event that you are not, we will accept returns or offer to exchange your purchases for non-furniture items within 30 days of purchase. The following are instructions for returns:
Non-Furniture Merchandise Returns
Please keep in mind that all of our products are handmade by artisans around the world. Slight imperfections that do not compromise the aesthetics or functionality of the product are normal. Every item is intrinsically unique due to the handmade nature of the product. If you are not satisfied, the product can be shipped back within 30 days of the shipping date on your packaging list. We do not accept returns on SALE items. The following are our return instructions:
- Original packing list must accompany returns or exchanges.
- Returned goods must be in their original condition and packaging.
- A Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) number will be required for returns or exchanges. To receive a RMA number call us at 800-409-1070 or email customerservice@worldeffect.com
- Once you have received your RMA number, clearly print it on the outside of the box.
- Send returns (No COD shipments will be accepted) with shipping that includes a tracking number. We also recommend that you insure your return package, as we are not responsible for lost packages without tracking.
- RMA numbers will be valid for 30 days after their issue via phone or email. The shipment must be received within this 30 day window. No RMAs will be reissued.

Furniture Merchandise Returns
Our furniture items are non-returnable, non-refundable unless the item is damaged. Like our general merchandise, all of our furniture is handmade by artisans from around the world. Handmade furniture and, if applicable, our reclaimed wood items by nature have slight imperfections. This can be due to hand carving or natural imperfections in the wood or metal. If the item is damaged, we will either replace the defective part or in some cases replace the entire item. If you have received the wrong item we will replace it. Please inspect all furniture items and retain all packaging upon receipt and after assembly. World Effect or our delivery services cannot be held responsible for missing items that have been signed for as damage free and complete.
