Serengeti National Park (pt. 3)

As mentioned in part 1, our Serengeti posts are just photos and captions.  Enjoy.

Cheetah in the Serengeti
Cheetahs in the Serengeti National Park
We really wanted to see cheetahs before we left the Serengeti.  We were lucky and saw them in the afternoon of our last day.  We love the tear drop markings on their faces.  Elephant trunk and tusks. Serengeti National Park, Tanzania
We cannot get enough elephants.  We love all the character they have down to the wrinkles in their trunks. Baby and Mom Zebra. Serengeti National Park, Tanzania
This little guy leaned on his mom for protection and nearly fell over when mom started walking.  Notice the baby zebra's coats are fuzzy and slowly turn into a smooth, slick coat when they're adults.  Giraffes. Serengeti National Park, Tanzania
Just for fun.

Lion cub. Serengeti National Park, Tanzania
Lioness and cub. Serengeti National Park, Tanzania
This little cub was actually drawn in by Meggan's "meow" cat call.  She's like an animal tamer or something.  We hope to get the video of this loaded soon. The cub eventually made it almost to our Land Cruiser and the mom quickly came over for protection. Youth Lion
Youth Lion Yawn
Youth lion yawn. Serengeti National Park, Tanzania
This is one of the cub above's siblings watching their little sister and mom.  We caught this one yawning too, I guess we found the action to be more exciting than this youngster.Sunset in Serengeti National Park, Tanzania

Another great sunset and a farewell to the Serengeti.
