A Rocky Mountain National Park Reminder

Rocky Mountain National Park | Colorado, USAWe often find ourselves flipping through our Lonely Planet guides, our stacks of coffee table books, and surfing through our favorite travel blogs to find out where in the world we would like to go next.  Inevitably the places really high on our list tend to be places that will take us on the other side of the globe.

We have had some friends from Australia visiting us here in Colorado this week.  Sometimes it’s easy to forget that we have beautiful places to visit right out our back door.  Showing guests around tends to take the blinders off, what a beautiful place we live in!

We took our Aussie friends up and over trail ridge road in Rocky Mountain National Park.  The views from this drive never get old no matter how many times I’ve been here, I guess it just takes a guest or to to remind us.

The occasion of visitors is often an equally undiscovered beauty. To share your culture with others while experiencing a piece of theirs through them is a worthwhile, but easily overlooked, endeavor itself.
Undiscovered beauty can be in your backyard or in a far-off land, but it is often those you share it with that make the experience memorable.
Thanks for sharing this beauty with me, ‘Ninjas’.
